World Cup. Russia. 2018

Post by spacemanrich »

World Cup is just 14 days away. As always, but don't know why but Brazil seems to be the overall favorite AGAIN ! We know that they were favored last time in their home country and look what happened. Got throttled by Germany in front of 80,000 punters.

I'll give the nod to either Germany repeating and/or Belgium. It'll be strange watching a World Cup without Italia.

Don't know why, but I think Adidas wants out of their contract w/ Spain's National Team. The design for their home kit is just plain awful. The best one is Germany and Belgium's and Mexico's are alright.

Amazing game tonight. Spain will be wondering how they didn’t manage to win but then.. Ronaldo. A one man band. Privilege to watch him even if he is annoying. He’s helped raised the standard and now set the gauntlet for God/Messi at this World Cup. Game on.

Also Spain 2nd World Cup in a row that Span have been involved in a 6 goal thriller.. 2014 5-1 vs Netherlands.

Not a bad start for Espana considering the sacking of their manager 2 days prior. Lotepegui deserved the sacking. No class whatsover. Argentina v. Iceland is a good match so far ...

The traditional football powerhouses have struggled i.e. - Germany and especially Argentina. But those two last group matches for Germany and Argentina was pivotal. What a finish for Argentina. Had to see that set piece by Kroos about 10 times with only 20 seconds left in stoppage time was the best I've seen. Don't write off those two countries just yet. We'll see how good England is on Thursday.

First of all, Neymar is a twat. I haven't seen such theatrics in awhile.

My God, that Belgium v. Japan game was most excellent. Both gk's worked overtime tonite. That Vertoghen header from 30 yards out was amazing. That last counter-attack started by City's own KDB was the best I've seen in awhile. What a match !

Let's see how England fares tomorrow ...
