Dinosaur Jr. is shite. J.Mascis vocals sound like he has a nasal problem.

I know there are a few Dino fans here & many Stooges fans, so maybe they’ll go and enjoy it.

Saw J Mascis & The Fog in Glasgow a number of years ago when they were joined by some of the remaining Stooges and promptly played (pretty much) all of Funhouse... absolutely incredible show. Last Dino Jr. show in Glasgow was blisteringly good too as was the Lou Barlow acoustic show the night before. Have no doubts this show will be equally as good.

I remember hearing about that, Laz!
I’m so glad you got to see it.
I’m still kicking myself for helping a friend move instead of going to a Stooges in-store in 2003.
Well, not really. A friend needs help, you help. But you know what I mean...

I went along to this - It was awesome. The band were on fire and I stood with a massive grin on my face for the duration. I was chatting to Noel Ford who was one of the vocalists and he thanked me for coming and when I said how great it was to hear the songs live he said thats why they do it. A really special night.

Thanks all who took the time to respond here - sounds like it was a great night Simon.
Also, always glad to see the eternally clueless (and incredibly, pointlessly rude) spacemanrich take some heat.

cheers BZA and Ro.
It sounds over the top but nights like that are rare now. With social media and people wanting to be part of something that maybe they think will be cool but don't really understand it makes getting in the door on a show like that even more special.
Barrie got the show together so props to him. It was supposed to happen in Manchester but illness got in the way. Barrie's a top man and fucking amazing guitarist. Seeing him play bass up close on the night made me realise how much Dave Alexander really contributed to the band. He worked his arse off and said as much afterwards. J was on FIRE. Rocking a white Strat into two AC30's with a MKI Tone Bender (for you gear nuts) it sounded like Ron was in the room. He learnt those riffs from the master after all. It still amazes me that it happened in a tiny club in Camden.
Always nice to chat to Deb Googe too as shes super cool
