Bootlegs

It's fairly unlikely you'd have made it here without ever having heard of Jason's previous incarnation. So here you go, talk away...

Bootlegs

Post by kburd72 »

Hi all, am currently uploading all the live S3 recordings that I have to Mega.nz. Would any of you good people like me to share them here?

Yes please. I’m sure we’ll kick in with stuff you don’t have in return.

Here's everything I have.

Loads from the excellent Spacemen 3 blog so can't really take the credit. Anything I have that was in FLAC has been converted in to mp3 for easy access and to be able to listen to along with my other music. I was also RAPIDLY running out of room on my PC so really needed to free up some space (no pun intended), so apologies if people wanted the FLAC version.

Anyway, hope this helps plug some gaps for people....

Thanks for the boots Dreamweapon.

The Rohre, Stuttgart 25/11/1987 gig is the wrong date though. It's actually 25/01/1988.

Aside from that, something i've noticed over the years is that Spacemen 3 boots tend to have much better sound quality than Spiritualized boots from the early 90s. Anyone any ideas as to why that would be the case?

Thank you all, for those.

For those who know the bootlegs well, any recommendations for which have the best sound quality?

Most of the recordings on my blog are pretty good quality for the times they were recorded in.

London ULU 1988 is a personal fave of mine.
Very good sound quality and excellent performance. It features a magnificent Rollercoaster plus a stripped down, bare-bones Mary Anne with Sonic on vocals! 8)

This is one of my faves, Carlisle 86, the audience here are slightly nuts and Sonic appears to take great delight in winding them up!

Thank you both for those recommendations.

The other one I've been enjoying is 1989-05-19 Cafe Mokka, Switzerland. A lively but friendly audience, and good quality recording.

Is that the one where the crowd keeps singing the Ode To Street Hassle riff? If it is, yep it's a good one alright.
