It's fairly unlikely you'd have made it here without ever having heard of Jason's previous incarnation. So here you go, talk away...

Saw a picture of this but couldn’t see any information. It’s the 7” single with a purple cover and light blue writing.

Was ist das?

It doesn’t even appear on Ian’s excellent site & couldn’t see it on Discogs either.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Where'd you see it? I've never heard of it.

It’s on the Spacemen 3 Appreciation Society Facebook site. I’m not on Facebook, but a friend of mine sent me the picture. Apparently it’s somebody’s collection of all the non official 7 inch singles. I’m aware of all the other ones but never seen or heard of this one before.

Yep, was first time seeing that for me too. In all my years of searching for Sp3 stuff, i'd never seen it or even heard it mentioned.

Here are the photos for those who can't access the Facebook group, from the collection of Nick Bourne.

I've never seen a copy before, or anything that indicated that it ever existed. As has been said, it's not on Discogs, and I've never seen one on eBay.

It's most lilkely to be taken from the video recording of the gig, or possibly the audience recording which I think is from a different source.

This has happened to be on other forums when I've tried to link directly to pictures on my site. No idea what's going on. Here's a temporary page I've put up with those pictures on.

Thanks a lot for solving that mystery. Next question is, I wonder what the sound quality is like. The YouTube footage is pretty ropey to say the least.

Looks really nice :)

It's very easy to get lathe-cut vinyl online. Just about anyone can do this - so I wouldn't look at them as quite the same as a regular release.
