Keith Levene RIP
This one really stings.....only 65.
Re: Keith Levene RIP
Yep, brutal, been a fan of those PIL records since longer than I can remember, 65 is too young,
Re: Keith Levene RIP
Very sad, a real talent. KL and Nik Turner in the same week is pretty tragic. RIP…

Such a fantastic and original guitarist. One of those who came up with a genuinely new sound. I can't even pinpoint any guitarists who overtly influenced him?
Did anyone ever see him live? I saw him play with Mark Stewart from the Pop Group. It was in a venue which can hold 800-1000 but the number of attendees were in single figures. That was kinda awkward , but meant i could get right up the front
Played the first PiL album loud the other night.

I saw the Metal Box in Dub show he did with Jah Wobble at the Village Underground. Both men were on good form but the concept didn't really work as well as we'd hoped. For starters it wasn't very dubby! And the guy doing the Lydon vocals was quite annoying. But I'm still glad I got to hear that amazing guitar sound live even just that one time...
