R.I.P. Pele

Post by spzretent »

What a player and ambassador for football worldwide.
Not likely to see anyone like him ever again.
I realize I am dating myself but I saw him play at the end of his career in 1976.
Pontiac Stadium Sept. 6, 1976 vs Dallas Tornado.
A sad day for football fans all over the world today.

He is, was and remain to be the fest ever football player. Take it both ways if you want to but - he had the talent to back up his glory that he won. You can put it other way around, but the point still remains. For such an exquisite long career to have so many prestigious moments, that's just phenomenal. I will never forget one goal against Sweden in 1958. Total clever resentment https://youtu.be/TYNsrKtV6Mc?t=74

A sad loss. Despite the obvious talent he always sounded like a great guy too. And was probably the actual greatest footballer ever.
