I posted the recurring demos (more extensive than RCW) on this site a couple months ago, do a search. RCW CD 1 was very similar to the CW CD that came out, lots of Anyway That You Want Me..

Hi people. I "managed" to download the entire compilation through soulseek. Pretty fast download too...By the way, it's a great collective effort and really precious to people like me who don't earn enough money to actually buy all those rare lp's and ep's. Plus, it is even harder to find anything rare in small countries like Greece...I could zip the RCW compilation and post it somewhere (mediafire or megaupload)...Ok, it's mp3, but hey, it's better than nothing...So, is anyone interested?

Hello,

Did anyone actually make artwork for this set? If so, is there a link to where I could find it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Old thread bump!

Recently suffered a house break-in and had my computer nicked, taking with it loads of music. Not good.

Always loved the Real Complete Works, and wondered if anyone had a link for me to download, thus beginning the slow and painful process of re-gathering my music collection. Can't seem to find this anywhere on the net.

Many thanks in advance for the kind soul who'd make me a happy man!

I'm (very, very) late to the party, but I was wondering if any kind soul knew of any active links to the Real Complete Works discs? I have the two Complete Works sets, but there are some annoying omissions. Many thanks.

I think there's possibly some Spz material I might be missing. Has anyone got a comprehensive list of what features on the most complete and up-to-date Real Complete Works?
Follow up question from that would be is the RCW available anywhere out there to download (now that Megaupload is gone)...or would anyone be willing to stick the stuff on dvd(s)? Would recompense for the trouble of course.

A volume 2 of this would be most interesting....

Off the top of my head, and excluding anything on the Complete Works 2....

Sad Days & Lonely Nights
Camera (Remix)
The 22-20s Remix
Out of Sight (Single Edit)
Hold On (War Child Mix) - I've never heard this, what's it like?
Soul On Fire (Single Edit)
Harmony 2 (And Then A Miracle Occurs)
True Love Will Find You In The End (Union Chapel)
Walking On Thin Ice (Yoko)
LFO remix (I remember having this.... but can't remember much about it)
iTunes Live Acoustic Mainline tracks - 5 of them, iirc.
Sweet Talk Single Edit (as an aside, the prospective session tracks for the b-sides weren't on those promos?)
Stop Your Crying Single Edit
Rated X (XFM Session, Cheapster B-side if I recall)
Both Silent Sounds
Monster Love (Remix)
True Love Will Find You In The End (Bonus track for SHSL, if it's any different from the Union Chapel Version)
Huh? (Outro)

Would the Hoping for Palestine DVD count as an officially released rarity, a la Fucked Up Inside?

Live bootleg territory....

Any TV appearances - Ie Jools for A&E?
Ditto for sessions, like the Lauren Laverne one recently, the Mark Radcliffe one for A&E.
Remarkably different versions of Heading For The Top from Albert Hall or Japan gigs
Daniel Johnston covers from Acoustic Mainlines
Anything More/LAGWAFIS probably counts as such an oddity.
As does Amazing Grace/You Lie You Cheat
Too Late from Acoustic Mainlines Union Chapel show
Life Is A Problem from 2008 tour (a soundboard quality can be found on Moshcam)
Spitz sets from the Complimentary Medicines.

Would Guitar Loops and SpaceShipp count? Also the gig for the Irish Festival (I forget...) in which he played a noise set.

I have some of these, but not all.... A volume two is certainly feasible looking at all of that though.

Don't forget "Dub Together"! Or that might be a late addition to Volume 1.

I don't think Guitar Loops or Spaceshipp count as they aren't billed as Spiritualized.

I would definitely include the Acoustic Mainline stuff and also definitely a recent performance of 'old favorites' like Shine A Light or Electric Mainlines to show how these songs have changed (or not) over time.

Another few things....

Silent Night from the Alt Advent thing last year.
Pharoah's Chariot (Soulsavers collab)
That Dr. John remix someone mentions in this thread.
Dub Together, as it hasn't been put on one.

And how about the Mr. Lonely Soundtrack? Bits of it do turn up in A&E.

As for live tracks, would anyone have any qualms with these? I have some gaps, especially in the Acoustic Mainlines, but can sort some of the things out.

Out Of Sight (Portsmouth 2001)
Let It Flow (Portsmouth 2001)
Don't Just Do Something (XFM Session 2001)
Smiles & Things Will Never Be The Same (Canada 2003)
Run (Canada 2003)
Funeral Home (Maybe from the tribute?)
Devil Town (Tribute?)
Too Late (UC)
Feel So Sad (UC)
Silent Night (UC)
Anything More/Ladies & Gentlemen (UC)
Shine A Light (Boston MFA)
Sweet Talk (Jools Holland 2008)
Amazing Grace/You Lie You Cheat (Sydney Moshcam show)
Life Is A Problem (Sydney Moshcam Show)
Lay Back In The Sun? (As above)
Something from the Ladies and Gentlemen shows - The title track? Think I'm In Love? Guess the Radio City SBD would serve as the source.
Heading For The Top (Royal Albert Hall 2011)
Mary (Lauren Laverne Session)

I guess it'd have to be its own couple of discs, and not the usual "Bonus Tracks" thing that had gone before.

The radio sessions would be nice as well, I am not sure but I think:

KFSD:

Stop Your Crying
Hold On

KEXP:

All Of My Tears
Hold On
Lord Let It Rain On Me
Electric Mainline

KCRW:

All Of My Tears
Hold On
Lord Let It Rain On Me

KEXP:

Sweet Talk
Death Take Your Fiddle
Sitting On Fire
Lord Let It Rain On Me
Walking With Jesus
Baby I'm Just A Fool
True Love

Forgot about those! The KCRW 2002 also includes Stop Your Crying (which I believe is on an earlier volume) and an 18 minute long Electric Mainline....
There is also a KCRW acoustic mainlines session too.

What's that KEXP session? Is it electric or acoustic?

And cheers, Dr.!

Bugger... hit snag with Vol7... disc is a bit scratched and it won't rip a few of the tracks. Anyone out there got a Vol7 they can rip and send me a link to? I'll happily get all the links compiled and shared once we have the final volume...

Might have a ripped copy of this at home, but will not have access untril i get home later this evening. If someone can help out for now, even its its just the problem tracks, i'd be grateful. Tracks affected: 7, 10, 11 and 12...

The Dr John track is John Gris (J. Spaceman Mix) . I have it on an NME / Parlophone compilation, Flavour Of The Label. Not sure if it was on anything else.

A quick Google and it's actually available on Discogs.com for literally pence.

There's also the remixes of the Fuck Buttons' Olympians and Maiden Voyage (Spiritualized Electric Mainline Mix) by Global Communication.
It's nice to be liked,
But it's better by far to get paid.

Didn't know there was an Oh Baby BBC session!

To upload, I always use mediafire. If you zip up the folder they are in, then drag that into the website and it'll upload it for you.

Or maybe we should start a dropbox folder or the like - might be better to mop up the individual tracks.

I have Sad Days, The Soul On Fire single, the Editors (although mine is a bit low bitrate - should buy it again off itunes or something), 22-20s, Goldfrapp and Yoko remixes, Mary from the BBC session, Silent Night, the War Child Hold On, and the 2003 KEXP session, and then first Silent Sound. and Huh? Outro

And the Mr. Lonely score, if we're using that. Are we? I think we should, even if it is billed as J. Spaceman, because of the A&E connection.

So we need....

The LICD single edits
Rated X/Oh Baby (BBC Session B-sides)
Too Late (Union Chapel)
Life Is A Problem (2008)
The second Silent Sound (Middlesborough, right?)
Dr. John Remix

Some consensus on live tracks would be useful? I think I was a little generous in my last posting.

I think Dropbox works by sharing info (emails) and linking dropboxes for sharing (everybody who wants to access will need to download dropbox).

In this particular case it might be easiest to just upload on to sendspace and then posting the link for whoever wants to download.

Red Cloud, can you go to Dropbox and look under my name to see if the tracks are there?

I keep getting "No Results" on my searches. Perhaps they are still uploading?

Just located the KEXP session from 2003 for the release of Amazing Grace.... we can add that to the list. Think i'm going to have to track down those missing tracks from Vol7 at some point over the weekend.

Seems like we have quite an abundance of material for another 2, probably 3 volumes now. Anyone want to take a stab at compiling this in some sort of timeline/tacklisting?

That's amazing, thanks so much for uploading! I'll get on a tracklist, and upload any spares - I lack the facility to burn discs, mind.

The only two things we would need now is Too Late from the Union Chapel, and Life Is a Problem from a 2008 show. and maybe the single edit of Sweet Talk?

Provisional Tracklists for the new three volumes! Timings on CDs meant I had to get rid of a couple of little things, like Mr Lonely tracks, live stuff from the LICD tour, and Mary from the BBC session..... But are these alright?

The Real Complete Works, Volume 2 [Disc One] 2001 - 2005 + Odds and Sods
1:18:41

LFO - Tied Up (Spiritualized Electric Mainline Remix)
Dr. John - John Gris (J. Spaceman Remix)
Stop Your Crying (Single Edit)
Out of Sight (Single Edit)
Hold On (War Child Mix)
Electric Mainline (KEXP Session 2003)
Cheapster (BBC Session)
Oh Baby (BBC Session)
Rated X (BBC Session)
Smile/Things Will Never Be The Same (Canada 2003)
Sad Days, Lonely Nights
The 22-20s - Hold On (Spaceman Remix)
Editors - Camera (Obscured by J Spaceman)

The Real Complete Works, Volume 2 [Disc 2] - Spiritualized Acoustic Mainlines
1:19:36

2008 KCRW Session
Sitting On Fire
Lord Let It Rain On Me
True Love Will Find You In The End
Walking With Jesus
Death Take Your Fiddle
Baby I'm Just A Fool
All Of My Tears

The Best of Acoustic Mainlines (All from Union Chapel 2007, first gig)

I Think I'm In Love
Amen
Going Down Slow
Feel So Sad
Anything More/Ladies & Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space
Oh Happy Day

From Daniel Johnston tribute, 2006
Goodnight, Goodnight/Funeral Home

The Real Complete Works, Volume 2 [Disc 3] Huh? (2007-2012)
1:09:43 [WILL CHANGE WHEN TWO BOLD TRACKS ARE ADDED]

Yoko Ono - Walking on Thin Ice (Ft. J. Spaceman)
Silent Sound - J. Spaceman
Garden Walk - J. Spaceman [Mister Lonely Soundtrack]
Musicbox Underwater - J. Spaceman [Mister Lonely Soundtrack]
Paris Beach - J. Spaceman [Mister Lonely Soundtrack]
Too Late (Acoustic Mainlines)
Soul on Fire [Single Edit]
True Love Will Find You In The End [Soul on Fire B-Side]
Harmony 2 (And Then A Miracle Occurs)
Monster Love (Goldfrapp vs. Spiritualized)
Sweet Talk - Single Edit
Life Is A Problem
Fuck Buttons - Olympians (Spaceman Vs. The Olympians remix)
Ladies & Gentlemen, We Are Floating In Space (Live at Radio City Music Hall, NYC, 2010)
Silent Night (Alt Advent 2011)
Huh? (Outro)

Howzat? If I get those three I'm missing, I can tag them all/etc and upload them.

I just realized I also have KCRW:

Stop Your Crying
Hold On
All Of My Tears
Electric Mainline

All are acoustic versions, and better than the other set in my opinion.

I thought there was bbc tracks for you lie, you cheat and sweet talk double single or did that not materialize at all?

and last but not least True Love from SHSL

Looks good overall, hopefully we can get this plus the original up for all that need various tracks. I will gladly do my part.

I don't have All My Tears and the Electric Mainline from that session - btw, how long is Electric Mainline? I seem to recall there was a shorter 8 minute or so edit, and then the full 18 minute one where the DJ has to cut them off.

I don't believe the BBC tracks did materialise, no - The promos just had the Sweet Talk edit and the album version of YLYC.

And you've done sterling work already, mate!

Here they are, mainline is only 8 minutes. Are you sure the Stop Your Crying and Hold On are not the KFSD versions which we may need to include here as well. Listen to these and see.

I've also added Life Is A Problem from Ogden Theatre Denver 2009-09-23. Is this the one you're referring too?

still wanting me to provide the Union Chapel Too Late?
also the 2009 version of Life is a Problem I have is ripped from that Austrailian 'moshcam' gig that was on the net, so it's proper soundboard quality

I'll get them uploaded on sendspace tonight if that's the best way

“You're not Dostoevsky,' said the citizeness

'Well, who knows, who knows,' he replied.

'Dostoevsky's dead,' said the citizeness, but somehow not very confidently.

'I protest!' Behemoth exclaimed hotly. 'Dostoevsky is immortal!”
